Fate Springs was the nice safe place to live, well at least up to a year ago. Brandon and his small band of followers settled into Fate Springs after searching for a new place to settle down in. This town seemed like the perfect place to expand his so called "Vampire Empire" and would also be a perfect place for many of them to forget the pain of losing loved ones years ago.

As the year went on Fate Springs slowly fell into Brandon's hands. It was not hard for him at all, with his smooth voice and undeniable charm many who crossed his path could not deny him what he wanted. Power. In a small town like this it was no surprise rumors start to spread around about stranger characters hanging around town and about the so called living dead living again. Many ignored it and thought it to be some sort of joke and that it would blow over soon. But the ones who did see that a problem tried to stand in Brandon's way and those few were not seen again.

Everything seemed to be going just the way Brandon thought it would. Soon he would have all of Fate under his thumb and be able to soon spread out even more. Brandon knew that people would stand in his way so there was no surprise that a group of hunters arrive in town, ready to take Brandon down. But what did surprise him was that one of them looked exactly just like a young vampire he and his followers had lost five years ago. If that wasn't bad enough it was not long before the hunters started to align themselves with the werewolves.

Could this really be the same girl that stood up to him five years ago. Demanding him to stop his evil ways? The same girl he sent away to die on a failed mission? Or was it just a simple chance that she looked just like her?
